When the lights flicker and alarms chirp, you need gear that simply keeps running. This Smart-UPS SRT 6000VA RM delivers continuous pure sine wave power and extended runtime for critical racks. It occupies four U of rack space and plugs into a hard-wire input or NEMA outlets. You get an embedded network management card with PowerChute for remote monitoring and graceful shutdown of physical servers and virtual machines. The battery is lead-acid, giving about two minutes at full load and recharging in one-and-a-half hours. In the United States, that translates to predictable shutdown windows and easier maintenance across distributed racks.
