You pull on this jacket because you need to be seen and you need to stay warm. It does both, without feeling bulky or getting soaked. Start with the weatherproof outer shell. Unzip the one-hundred-gram inner jacket and remove sleeves to convert it into a Class 2 thermal vest. Assembled, the full kit meets Type R, Class 3 visibility standards. Built for construction and transportation workers and useful for hiking or snowmobiling, it mixes bright orange, black dirt-hiding panels and Thinsulate warmth. YKK zippers and a tuck-away drawstring hood close cleanly. Mic tabs and pockets keep radios and phones within reach, not at the bottom of a pocket. Hook-and-loop cuff straps seal out drafts, and outside snap-button and zippered pockets keep essential tools secure.
